DIY - How to clean your own eye lashes + my current eye condition

I would like to share the tips that I get from my eye doctor about eye hygiene, since many of us do not think too much about the importance of eye hygiene. And I think this is not only for those who likes to wear an eye cosmetics.

My doctor taught me this simple step to take care of my eye hygiene. I love contact lens and I usually wear a simple eye make up like eyeliner and mascara. But do we really sure that by using a make up remover, our excessive eye make up are totally cleaned? In fact some of this excess are left behind, hidden among our lashes.

Without completely cleaned our lashes, those make up excess will stay there and make our lashes even more dirtier. If we left it too long then our lashes will even more vulnerable against bacteria that are soon to bring a variety of diseases.

So I am using Johnson's baby shampoo to help me wash my eye area. You can get any brand of baby shampoo, anywhere, even in the nearest store around you. Some of them prefer Sebamed Children shampoo. Baby shampoo are usually designed not to bring any pain on the eyes because the active ingredient chosen for this liquid wont irritate the eyes. So the baby shampoo is not as strong as adult shampoo. Which is safe enough to clean the skin around our eyes.

I usually wash my face normally with my fave face cleanser, then apply the baby shampoo to clean my upper eyelids platform, lower eyelids, and lashes. You can do this in shower or morning face wash. Another extra little effort but prevention is better than cure.

This tips is very helpful to me since.... I was always afraid of the pain when a facial soap get into my eyes (maybe it sounds so weird or even stupid but yes I am afraid). So I thought it would be okay to at least get the foam over by my eyelids without completely wiping my lashes. Then here I am, ended up in the hospital because some bacteria gets into my eyes, the worse case of mine is, I had to throw away all my contact lens including my newest lens because of my doctor concerned if the bacteria was on my other lenses too.

This is totally drop my vision like 30%, I hardly drive, I cant stay for too long in a aircon room.

It is getting better now, but my doctor keep telling me to taking care of my eyes and not to get any unknown cosmetics lens brand. And simply enough lesson for me to be more careful with hygiene, no one says that being pretty is always easy but paying a hospital bill is never easy, hahahaha....

Sorry for a weird grammar.....

AFAID 2013 - DAY 1

Hello minna, Its been a while, I know this event has already passed, so sorry if I just publish it now >.<

Okay so I would like to share my experience with you in AFAID 2013. This is my second AFAID and me my friends decided to open our booth for the whole 3days. We booked the booth and we got a booth number 41! Yaay! I was so excited! We named our booth as "Allsocan". Never ask me why allsocan okay? (Allsocan or Alsocan)

Allsocan booth day 1-full member

That day I came to our booth like around 11am with some exhibitor tickets and one pass with me. The exhibitor ticket cost us like 65k rupiah for each ticket. Lucky I came in a right time since I heard the exhibitor ticket holder unable to enter the venue before 11 am.

Met Samuel from Danny Choo's booth! Thanks for visiting our booth!
I didn't cosplay on day 1 since I only prepared my costume for day 2 and day 3. Our booth is just.... simply empty with only a few product name cards and brochure while the rest of the other booth filled with accessory, posters, pins, etc etc etc. Okay.... But it didnt bring us down since our main objective was to promote our teaching services to ppl in this industry (?) But yeah, at the end we do agree that we need more "decorations".

On that day, we closed our booth early since some member have another business to do after 3pm. Good chance for me, I queuing for AFA cafe with some friends. another yay! It was my FIRST experience EVER at a maid and butler cafe. it cost me.... 190k rupiah for 1 main course and 1 bottle of orange juice.... Pretty expensive since we didnt get any merchandise.

The good news! We got 1 butler and 1 maido because there are 3 girls and 1 boy with us! Luckyy luckyy! We got Kife as our butler and Shizuka as our meido. They are Jessica's friends, so its a good fortune for her. I was happy for her since my main objection in that cafe is to see Puni! (promised her to get a 3ds streetpass so I bring 2 console with me) But Kife and Shizuka are a nice ppl, funny and kind, I like them too, I wish I had more time to chat with them. :)

At a first glance, im pretty interested with a butler called Kaede! He was super cuteeee! I like cute guy. Saw him from the facebook page and I thought he only arnd 168cm or sumthin..... Jess told Shizuka and Kife that I am interested to Kaede and...... Kife called him to our table!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay chill.....

Then Kaede came to our table and introduce himself. My first impression over Kaede.... He is super tall (180cm sumthin), skinny, pale, big eyes (i know its a lens), pretty guy with a super soft voice until I had to read his lips so I can understand what he said.

Lets make it short, me and Kaede talked a lot, I lost all my idea, my head was blank, but I need to keep the conversation going. At some point the manager called him away for a customer shoot, then he came back to our table, it keeps going like that for a couple of times. Shizuka and Jessica are in total happy to see my face turn as red as my wig. GRAAA! Shizuka keep calling Kaede back too.

So basically thats the end of day 1. It was the most exhausting day for me compared to the other two days. (caused by the long queuing section)

To be continued....

Danjyo Hiyoji foundation (pink)

Hello! Happy holiday to everyone!
Today I am going to share with you my experience using this Danjyo Hiyoji foundation in pink color.

These are the colors available by this product:

I have two colors with me, pink and tropical beige.
...But I will review the tropical beige in different post, so lets start with the Pink shade!
Here you can see the difference since my skin color tone pretty much in the middle.

I was a bit surprised since the coverage result is really good, pretty thick, and super matte.
My skin type is a normal but sometimes a bit oily, so its fine with me, and I love matte result rather than
a glossy one.

If you have a dry skin, make sure you apply your fav moisturizer before using this foundation.
Here is my bare face picture, before and after. No editing at all.

Before                        After

As you can see it covers very well, I already used it for more than a week.
And so far I can see the extra benefits for my cosplay project *___*

Here is my final result between my casual make up and cosplay make up
(I need a good long term coverage foundation Q_Q).

Casual make up                              Katarina - League of Legends test

I will definitely purchase this product again especially pink, natural white and tropical beige,
some for my cosplay purpose *___*

Thanks to K-Shoppe for recommending this product, being so helpful and kind.
You can purchase this from K-shoppe (081617176002), pin bb (ask her).

The Face Shop - (Japanese Rice Wine) Sake Nourishing Body Lotion

Hello, Now, I'll be reviewing my current lotion, Sake Nourishing Body Lotion. At the first sight, I had no plan to get this lotion, since I'am looking for a whitening body lotion to help me from my dry sun burned skin. But unfortunately, I couldn't find any from the face shop since they ran out of stock for their whitening lotion. So, I thought at least I need to save my dry skin and ended up getting this one.

I've been using this lotion for like... almost a month? It says this lotion will thoroughly moisturize, hydrates and nourishes rough skin.

This bottle contains 260ml of lotion with a few mixture of seeds extract, sake, mineral oil, etc (like water, perfume and such). I bought it from The Face Shop at Citraland Mall, West Jakarta, Indonesia for IDR 150.000++ (will look at my receipt soon =.=). This is my 3rd body lotion after Citra-Night Whitening lotion and Sephora- Fleur de Cotton body lotion. So far I like this lotion pretty okay...

The packaging of this bottle is pretty cute compared to the rest of my lotion. It's a plastic bottle with a pumper at the top, I usually use only 4-5 pumps for both legs and arms. What i like the most is the pumper lock which will help to keep your lotions conditions fine and sterile. The smell is very soft and nice and the fragrance stays in my skin for like a couple of hours.

This lotion absorbs nicely if you apply it after bath (i did it after my night bath before bed). After a regular application, I can feel my skin are finally well moisturized. At some point, I do experienced that this lotion always leave this sticky feelings everytime i finished applying the lotion, but no worries, it disappears after awhile.

So I think, this product is worth to get. well, it has a sweet aroma (not too much, just nice), and it definitely nourish your skin.

Etude House - Bubble Hair Coloring (sweet orange color)

I just dyed my hair a few days ago with this Etude House-Buble Hair Coloring in #5 (sweet orange color). I bought it since a few months back but just finally able to use it now. I read a lot of reviews about this product and it seems like this one worth to try.
This product offers seven colors to choose from:
  • Deep Black,
  • Dark Brown,
  • Natural Brown,
  • Wine Red,
  • Sweet Orange,
  • Gold Blonde,
  • Mocha Pink.
I choose the Sweet orange color since I wanted my hair to have more reddish orange color (I was confused between wine red and sweet orange actually)

So here what I get inside the whole box;
A 50ml bottle with pump containing the oxidizer, hair coloring sachet, silky perfumed conditioner, gloves, plastic gown, and the directions booklet.... but its all written in korean.... no english text.... ok, fine, but the good news the picture could be very helpful since it shows the exact steps all the way, so its pretty easy to follow. If you still confuse about it, you can find a lot of tutorials on youtube.

1.     Wear the gloves and transparent plastic gown provided from the box.
2.    (optional) I saw this from youtube vids, and she suggest to use a petroleum jelly from vaseline on your forehead, so incase the dye gets into it, you can easily wiped it out before it stains your skin.
3.    Pour the sachet of hair coloring into the pumping bottle with the oxidizer and close it back.
4.   you have to TILT! just TILT! Do not shake the bottle! For about 6-7 times. You would notice that the solution would heat up a bit and the mixture is ready to use.
5.    Pump out the bubbles and apply it to your hair, I usually divide my hair into 4 single parts with my hair clips so its easier for me to apply the bubbles to my entire hair. Start from my hair roots to the tips. After you're done, Massage your scalp slowly so that the color would spread better and remember to use all the bubbles! dont let it wasted away or else you have to throw away all the excess.
6.    Wait for 30 minutes or an extra 20mins will do, it depends on how much you want the color to take effect.
7.   Rinse your hair with a warm water and use the perfume conditioner.
8.   Dry your hair and see the result.

So here is my own hair before:

As you can see my hair color is a bit brownish, I dyed it before.

before:
my black hair root is there! (

After:

Okay and this is the result....

After I washed out the hair dye, my hair was so dry, hard.... I need an extra serum and conditioner to make it smooth again. But the good news is, yes my hair turned out more brownish...
(maybe I need 2 boxes instead of 1)

My result might be different from you, some people said the dye didnt make their hair hard and dry....

Overall rating: 5/10

I dont think i will getting another product of this, but if you want an easy DIY hair coloring, I may suggest you to try this one, Although you cant expect the result to be as nicer as a salon work it is still cheaper.
